1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account on Vashiyat, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Vashiyat.
2. What Vashiyat is — and is not
Vashiyat is an information provider only—not legal advice or a substitute for a registered will. Here's how it works, step by step. Vashiyat is a digital asset register and nominee-access platform. It is not a substitute for a legally registered will, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice or banking services. Please consult qualified professionals for those.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information about your assets and nominees, keep your account credentials safe, and update your information if it changes. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you store.
4. Access review period
When a nominee submits an access request, you have a configurable review period to approve or decline (within limits we publish in the product, for example 7–30 calendar days). If you do not respond within that window, Vashiyat will release the assets you had assigned to that verified nominee. You acknowledge and accept this design as a deliberate safeguard.
5. Changes to the service
We may update features, policies or infrastructure to improve security and reliability. Where a change materially affects how you use Vashiyat, we will give reasonable notice in line with applicable law.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law, with notice except where prohibited.
7. Limitation of liability
Vashiyat is provided on an "as-is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of your use of Vashiyat is limited as prescribed under applicable Indian law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gurgaon, Haryana.
